The Giving Journey

Transforming Lives Through Real Generosity

Sandals Church exists because people like you choose to give, creating a space to be real with ourselves, God, and others. Not only does your giving support transformative stories of salvation and baptism but also miracles, healing and restoration. Imagine marriages healed, families made whole, and the next generation taught to know and love Jesus. When you give, you make a real difference!

First-Time Giver

We believe becoming a first-time giver, of any amount, is the first step in your giving journey.
Big Idea: Decide in your heart – 2 Corinthians 9:7 | 2 Corinthians 8:12 | Malachi 3:8

Regular Giver

If you have taken that first step on the path, praise God! Your giving journey has begun! Now that you’ve started, God’s Word calls us to give purposefully, consistently, and joyfully But your stewardship journey has only just begun.
Big Idea: I can test God in this – Malachi 3:10 | 1 Corinthians 16:2 | Proverbs 3:9

Tither

The definition of the word “Tithe” comes from the Hebrew language and means “a tenth.” Tithing in the Bible refers to giving 10 percent of your annual earnings. It takes time, some would say it is a journey to first begin to give, doing so with a cheerful heart, then choosing to grow what you give cheerfully over time to a tithe off of your income
Big Idea: Trusting God with my first 10% – 2 Chronicles 31:5-6 | Nehemiah 10:35

Generous Giver

As you continue on your journey of giving, there will come a point where God challenges you to move beyond tithing and embrace even greater sacrifice to give to His Kingdom. This involves becoming increasingly generous by contributing above and beyond your regular giving, particularly when God presents opportunities to support special projects and address needs within both the church and our community.
Big Idea: Willing to sacrifice – 2 Samuel 24:24 | 2 Corinthians 8:9 | Acts 20:35

Legacy Giver

The Legacy Giver seeks to be a good steward of what they have been entrusted with, while they are alive as well as after being called home to heaven. The Legacy Giver develops their estate plan which details their directions for how their estate is to be divided up amongst their family, other people they may choose to include, as well as any charitable donations to be made upon their passing or possibly in the future.
Big Idea: Continue your impact – 1 Timothy 5:8 | Proverbs 13:11 | Matthew 25:14-30 | Proverbs 21:5
