Join us the first Saturday of every month at 6:45 pm, after the Saturday service at 5:00 and our dinner/community hour from 6:00-6:45, for our larger gathering (over 100 people) where we get to put our marriages first for an evening. Regular kids programming is available. Just check your kids in as if you were going to church, then meet us in room A2 instead (at the far end of the hall, next to the cafe).

This is a very fun way for any couple to improve their marriage. We typically do a date night giveaway, 20-30 minutes of teaching on a very practical topic related to marriage (communication, romance, listening skills), followed by discussion groups. This may be what is missing in your marriage, or what’s needed to take your marriage to the next level.

We have a Marriage Care team at Sandals Church Hunter Park made up of some pretty amazing couples. These are married couples who will walk alongside another married couple who is in need of some help for a season. These married couples are trained by our marriage leads, but are not licensed counselors. Simply request to talk to somebody using the form linked below.

You will be contacted first for an “initial conversation” to answer any questions you may have and make sure this is the right fit for you.

Sandals Church has produced some pretty incredible teaching videos on a website called The Sandals Church Learning Hub. Look for courses called Marriage Essentials, Parenting Essentials, and Thrive Financial.

These classes are FREE, so why wouldn’t you use them to make your life and marriage better?

We call these teams our “Marriage Mentors.” A Marriage Mentor couple is a volunteer couple who is trained to meet with another couple for the purpose of helping them through any challenges they are currently experiencing. Every couple has challenges from time to time and we don’t want others to have to figure things out the hard way—on their own. Brad & Tami Miller, the Marriage Ministry Leads at Sandals Church Hunter Park, have been helping couples with their marriages in several different capacities over the last 30+ years. They run a business called “Tandem Marriage” because marriage is “like riding a bike together as you try to head in the same direction and stay in sync to accomplish great things for God.” They also wrote a book on conflict resolution in marriage called Ready to Surrender. Their website features nearly 80 relevant blog articles on marriage, free tools (like their Feeling Words Chart, and marriage discussion guides), a webpage with book recommendations (for marriage, parenting, men, women), links to episodes of The Debrief podcast with Pastor Matt Brown centered on marriage, and more.

In these marriage discipleship groups, couples can find a safe place to begin digging into the things that are holding them back from experiencing the kind of love, joy, and connection that God intended for marriage. There are groups meeting in homes around the IE and at Hunter Park as well.
