Welcome to the Sandals Church Youth Summer Internship! This exclusive, invite-only internship is designed to help you grow as a leader and deepen your relationship with Jesus.

This internship is open to current high school students actively involved in Sandals Church Youth. Be sure to discuss this opportunity with your parents or guardians, and don’t hesitate to reach out to your Youth Lead with any questions.

Internship Tracks:

Youth Ministry Track

Description:
Dive into the heart of student ministry by assisting with Sandals Church Youth programs. Interns in this track will help plan, execute, and lead youth gatherings, small groups, and events. You’ll develop leadership skills while building relationships with students and fostering their spiritual growth.

Expectations:

  • Assist in leading weekly youth services and small groups.
  • Help plan and execute youth events, outreach activities, and camps.
  • Build relationships with students and help mentor them in their faith.
  • Support Youth Leads with administrative tasks and event prep.

Requirements:

  • A passion for working with middle and high school students.
  • Willingness to lead small group discussions and serve on stage if needed.
  • Commitment to attend weekly youth gatherings and special events.
  • Positive attitude, teachability, and strong work ethic.

Kids Ministry Track

Description:
Gain hands-on experience in children’s ministry by serving in Sandals Church Kids. You’ll help create engaging, Christ-centered environments for children, lead activities, and assist with curriculum planning. This track focuses on equipping you to teach kids about Jesus in fun and creative ways.

Expectations:

  • Assist with weekend kids’ services, including large group teaching and small group activities.
  • Help plan and implement curriculum, crafts, and games.
  • Engage with children and parents to foster a welcoming environment.
  • Support Kids Ministry Leads with setup, teardown, and administrative tasks.

Requirements:

  • A love for working with children and sharing the Gospel in creative ways.
  • Willingness to teach, play, and lead in high-energy environments.
  • Availability to serve during weekend services and occasional midweek prep.
  • Reliability, patience, and a heart for families.

Creative Ministry Track

Description:
Step into the creative side of ministry through this dynamic track that encompasses Worship, Production, and Design. Interns will have the opportunity to develop their gifts in leading worship, supporting live production, or contributing to visual design for events and services.

Expectations:

  • Worship: Lead or assist in worship during youth gatherings, events, or services. Participate in rehearsals, plan setlists, and help create meaningful worship experiences.
  • Production: Learn and assist with sound, lighting, video, and stage setups for services and events. Gain hands-on experience with the technical side of ministry.
  • Design: Contribute to creative projects, including graphics, social media, event branding, or stage designs, using your artistic skills to support ministry initiatives.
  • Video/Photo:

Requirements:

  • Worship: Musical ability (vocals or instruments) AUDITION ONLY
  • Production: Interest in learning technical skills (no prior experience required but a willingness to learn is key).
  • Design: Creativity and familiarity with design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) or a willingness to learn.
  • Video/Photo: Helpful to have some experience (but not required) with camera equipment and in Final Cut Pro/Adobe Premiere/Adobe After Effects/Adobe Photoshop/DaVinci Resolve or other video/photo editing software’s.
  • Commitment to attend rehearsals, events, or creative meetings as scheduled.
  • A heart for creativity, agility, and a team-player attitude.
